The 2006 Noble - Warriner Reunion
Iowa City, Iowa
August 3-6, 2006
The 2006 Noble Warriner family reunion was held in Iowa City, Iowa. Actually the reunion hotel, a Hampton Inn, was in Coralville, a small town on the western outskirts of Iowa City. Family members began arriving on Thursday evening and had dinner at the River City Beefstro adjacent to the hotel, where the first group photo was taken. On Friday morning, Day 2, a meeting of the Noble Warriner Family Association was held at the Historical Society in Iowa City, and Ron Kuhnel gave a presentation on the history of the Iowa Nobles. Some time for research followed. Dinner was held at the Iowa River Power Restaurant in Coralville. Day 3 saw everyone loading into a 15 passenger van ably piloted by Dave Peschau for trips to the Herbert Hoover Historical Site and the Amana Colonies. Lunch and Dinner were at the Amman Colonies. The following is a photographic essay of the reunion. Photos are by Ron Kuhnel and Helen Peschau. Note: All photos are "thumbnails". Click on the photo for a larger version.

Following the meetings, attendees did research at the Historical Society. That evening dinner was held at the Iowa River Power Restaurant.
Below are photos taken at dinner.
On Day 3 people gathered for breakfast at the hotel. Dave Paschau arrived in a 15 passenger van and off we went to the Herbert Hoover National Historical Site in West Branch, Iowa. One of eleven presidential libraries in the United States, the grounds contain among other things his birthplace cottage and the grave site of both Mr. Hoover and his wife Lou Henry Hoover.
From here we drove west and then north to the Amana Colonies, a national historic landmark. We visited the local Millstream micro-brewery and the museum. Lunch was held at the Ox Yoke Inn and after lunch group photos were taken of the Noble descendents and their spouses. Further visits were made to the Communal Kitchen and Cooper shop and Blacksmith Shop. Dinner was held again in the Amana Colonies at the Ronneburg Restaurant.

| There are no photos of Day 4, but family members gathered at the Breakfast nook at the Hampton Inn to say goodby. This was again a wonderful reunion, and we look forward to the 2007 reunion scheduled for August 3-5 in Westfield, Mass. |
